Showcase Wednesday provides a small intimate setting for singers, musicians, music and poetry collaborations to get exposure and build audiences.

Mandela Ambasa, former lead vocalist with the Sarabi Band, has embarked on a solo career.  He recently released a six-track EP online that was produced in Dar es Salaam. Mandela’s unique sounds are a blend of East African rhythms with dashes of afrobeat, jazz and reggae.  Known for  his engaging lyrics and a powerful voice, Mandela’s new sound remains true to his emblematic style.
