KENYAN AND ETHIOPIAN ATHLETICS – Towards an alternative scientific approach

Launch of the book ‘Kenyan and Ethiopian Athletics- towards an alternative scientific approach’ by Benôit Gaudin (Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Sport Science of the Université de Versailles St. Quentin, France and currently on secondment at the Dept. of Sport Science of the University of Addis Abeba), and Bezabih Wolde (Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Sport Science at the University of Addis Abeba and Board Member of the Ethiopian Athletics Federation).

Will the ‘secret’ of East African runners be revealed? Despite decades of research, no study has provided any sort of evidence that portrays biological otherness among populations in Kenya and Ethiopia which produces the best athletes in middle and long distance runners.
