Christine Kamau is a Kenyan trumpeter, composer, band leader and performing artist. Her music is a fusion of Benga, Rumba, Chakacha with jazz influences and improvisation. Christine credits her musical influences to Hugh Masekela, Maroon Commandos, Miles Davis among others.

In 2012, Çhristine Kamau released an 8-track instrumental afro-jazz album titled ‘This is for You’. a live recording of instrumental Afro-jazz compositions produced by Cameroon’s Romeo K.

Classically trained Christine has been studying music since the age of 11. A keen collaborator and campaigner for music as a tool for propagating unity, Christine has participated in various Festivals across Africa.
