An epic battle between two of Kenya’s leading spoken word artists, Mufasa (Ken Kibet) and Teardrops (Mark Joshua Ouma).

Unchained Voices II will demonstrate the transformative power of words in an artform that is immensely popular with the Kenyan youth.

Mufasa is a versatile performing poet who uses spoken word poetry to tell stories inspired by day-to-day life on the African continent. His words dance with vulnerability and honesty, a sublime communication provoking change and reflection. He recently launched his first poetry book ‘Raising a Sun’.
Teardrops is a ‘sheng’ poet. His mastery of sheng and powerful wordplay have earned him the label of ‘Shengspeare’ which is also the title of his 2nd album. A critic of an errant world, Teardrops describes himself as a rebel with a-cous-tic.
