She Creates
The She Creates Program is an exclusive initiative designed to empower and elevate African creative women by providing them with the knowledge, resources, mentorship, and network they need to thrive in the Creative and Digital Arts industry. This dynamic program brings together industry experts, thought leaders, and creative pioneers to inspire, support, and equip participants with the tools to succeed.
This programme is a NAICCON initiative in partnership with Le Hub@Alliance, supported by the French Government through the Creation Africa project.
The programme is open to African women aged 25yrs or under, who are actively involved, or aspiring to work, in the fields of animation, film, game development, comics, digital art, creative technology or other creative disciplines.
NAICCON is a platform dedicated to supporting, promoting, and elevating African creatives in the digital arts. By fostering collaborations, providing exposure, and enhancing creative talent and skill development, NAICCON empowers African Creatives to showcase and connect with a global audience. As the organizers of the Nairobi Comic Convention, an annual Pop Culture Convention, they bring together Creatives, fans, and industry leaders, creating opportunities for networking, growth, and international recognition. www.naiccon.co.ke
The Creation Africa project aims to provide professional development and technical support to Kenyan creatives, thus strengthening the capacities of Kenyan creatives to develop and market their products and create improved employment and income opportunities within the cultural and creative sector. It is aligned to the Kenyan Government’s Talanta Hela initiative.
The program runs for 6 months featuring immersive workshops, hands-on training, mentorship sessions, interactive panel discussions and industry networking, and live showcase opportunities aimed at refining creative skills and business acumen.
4-hour sessions every 6 weeks at the Alliance Française de Nairobi.

To qualify for the program, applicants must:
✔ Be an African woman creative actively working or aspiring to work in the fields of animation, film, game development comics, digital art, creative technology or any other creative discipline.
✔ Be 25 years old and under.
✔ Demonstrate a strong passion and commitment to advancing their craft.
✔ Be available to attend the entire program in person (this is a mandatory requirement).
The programme is structured to provide an all-rounded learning and growth experience, including:
🎭 Creative & Technical Workshops – Hands-on sessions to refine your skills.
🎙️ Panel Discussions & Fireside Chats – Meet and Hear from industry professionals about their stories and the creative landscape and future opportunities.
💼 Business & Career Development – Learn how to monetize your craft, negotiate contracts, and build a sustainable career.
🫱🏽🫲🏾 Mentorship & Peer Learning – One-on-one and group mentorship to foster skill-sharing and career guidance.
🎤 Showcasing Opportunities – Present your work to potential investors / studios/ creative agencies.

This is a highly interactive and immersive experience, and missing sessions may result in disqualification from the program.
