DELF and DALF International Diplomas

Ready for certification in French? Alliance Française is the only accredited institution in Kenya for international certification in French language , by the French Ministry of Education and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.

6 – 12 yrs

Specially drafted for children, DELF Prim is composed of individual certificates and is divided into three levels: DELF Prim A1.1, DELF Prim A1 and DELF Prim A2, corresponding to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
A special DELF Prim preparation class is offered at the beginning of the year, to give the candidates the best chances of passing.

13 – 18 yrs

The diploma in French language studies (DELF) for adolescents, the “junior/scolaire” version, is an official diploma issued by the Ministry of National Education. There are 4 diplomas that correspond to the first 4 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1 and DELF B2.
Candidates can register as a group via their secondary schools.

Adults

​​The “tout public” version of the diploma in French language studies (DELF) for adults is an official diploma issued by the Ministry of National Education.
There are 4 diplomas that correspond to the first 4 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1 and DELF B2.
These diplomas are valid for a lifetime.

Adults

The diploma in advanced French language studies (DALF) is a diploma issued by the Ministry of National Education. It certifies aptitude in French as a foreign language.
The DALF is made up of 2 independent diplomas that correspond to advanced levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DALF C1 and DALF C2.
