NYrobi Book Fest 2025

The 4th edition of the NYrobi Book Fest will celebrate young voices that continue to define Kenyan writing: the triumphs, the struggles, and the ever-expanding landscape of Kenyan imagination.
Exhibiting at this year’s Fest are over 20 bookshops, authors, publishers and content creators. Exhibition will be open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, 12th and Sunday, 13th April.
This year’s special guests are Kenya’s very own celebrated authors:
An award-winning Kenyan writer, editor, and publisher based in the United Kingdom. His literary work focuses on the African continent, where he serves as a guide and source of inspiration for numerous literary magazine publishers. He is the founder of Lolwe, one of the most influential magazines curating writing from Africa and its rich and diverse diaspora. His work has been published in Prairie Schooner, Doek!, Wasafiri, Isele Magazine, Johannesburg Review of Books, AFREADA, Nairobi Noir, Dgëku Magazine, and Transition among others. His debut collection of short stories “For What Are Butterflies Without Their Wings” was published in 2022.
Acclaimed author and editor, lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Bristol. He was Managing Editor of Kwani? His work has appeared in Chimurenga, McSweeney’s, Granta Online, Internazionale, Vanity Fair and Kwani?. His stories ‘Urban Zoning’ and ‘The Gorilla’s Apprentice’ were shortlisted for the Caine Prize for African Writing in 2012 and 2014 respectively. He wrote the screen play for the film Soul Boy and co-wrote Nairobi Half Life, both of which won Kalasha awards.

Plus de 20 exposants seront présents. Parmi eux des librairies, auteurs, maisons d’édition et créateurs de contenu.
Le salon sera ouvert au public de 10h à 18h, le samedi 12 et le dimanche 13 avril.
Cette année, nous aurons le plaisir d’accueillir en invités d’honneur quelques-unes des figures les plus emblématiques de la scène littéraire kenyane.
