Which language is used to teach the beginner course?

The teaching approach used at the Alliance Française Nairobi is actional and immersive, which means that the teacher will use French language to instruct for all levels, foundation to advanced. Do not be shocked, therefore, if the teacher uses French from lesson 1 !

What is the class size?

Our adult classes (both virtual and in-person) range between 8 and 22 students.

Can online classes be recorded, for future consultation?

What material do I need for the class?

You only need your textbook and activities book during lessons (you can choose between an e-book and the hardcopy). Additionally, for virtual classes, you will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone to connect to your online class.

How can I purchase the books?

We have the option of purchasing a hardcopy or softcopy book (e-book). The books are purchased when registering for a class. Upon payment, the e-book should be requested by sending an email to admissions@afkenya.org. The hardcopy books should be collected from the registration office.

How are the virtual classes conducted?

Our online classes are taught by a teacher and are live on zoom. Our approach being interactive and participative, both students and the tutor are required to always have their videos on, during the lesson.

Do I get a certificate upon completion of the course?
