Alliance Française

Our kids’ classes provide kids with the opportunity to learn French in a playful and fun environment, through songs, games, and creative works.

Our classes are taught entirely in French different from other institutions. This serves as a mechanism for total immersion into the French language and culture, thus enabling the child to appreciate French norms and civilization as captured in our mantra, ” Learning French through fun and creative activities”. This methodology renders the learner to be autonomous read independent and resourceful on matters education.

We offer French classes for toddlers from 2.5 – 5 years and for children from 6 – 12 years.

For children between 6 – 12 years old, they are placed into three levels.

  • A1.1Discovery level
  • A1 Beginner
  • A2 intermediate

Our programs also prepare children for the A1.1, A1 and A2 DELF prim certificates, the official language diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education, thus giving them an official and international recognition of their level in French.

The Alliance Française de Nairobi was founded in 1949.  It has grown into one of the largest in Africa offering French language courses to thousands of students annually.  We offer a steady progression allowing our students to meet both their personal and professional objectives.  The Alliance Française is the only accredited institution in Kenya for international and professional French language certification.  It is also the only officially recognized institution in Kenya for certified translations.
